Step forward with RL into gong bu, R arm outstretched. The point of the sword remains at a constant height throughout the move (the height of the heart? / a little lower than shoulder height). L arm pushes out to the left, approx. 45° to vertical and behind the L shoulder. Hand bent at the wrist palm pushing outwards.

Waist should be straight, right shoulder square. Left hand correct. Creates more stretch on the spine.
