11. WHITE CRANE DRIES ITS WINGS (part 1)
頭與胸向前略俯,tóu yǔ xiōng xiàng qián luè fǔ Your head and chest slightly bow forward,
全身宛如弓形。quán shēn wǎn rú gōng xíng your body bending like a bow,
然後腰部轉向東方。rán hòu yāo bù zhuǎn xiàng dōng fang then your waist turns to the east.
眼看左手背。yǎn kàn zuǒ shǒu bèi Your eyes are looking toward the back of your left [right] hand.

12. WHITE CRANE DRIES ITS WINGS (part 2)
左臂向東提起,zuǒ bèi xiàng dōng tí qǐ Your left arm goes to the east, lifting
與肩平,yǔ jiān píng to shoulder level,
成陽掌;chéng yáng zhǎng becoming an active [outward] palm,
視隨線之轉向西南。shì suí xiàn zhī zhuǎn xiàng xī nán your gaze following along toward the southwest.
腰身則轉向正南。yāo shēn zé zhuǎn xiàng zhèng nán As your torso turns to be square to the south
同時右手略向西引,tóng shí yòu shǒu luè xiàng xī yǐn [, your left hand continuing until above head level, and] your right hand slightly draws to the west
與左手作相等之距離。yǔ zuǒ shǒu zuò xiāng děng zhī jù lí to be the same distance your left hand is to the east.
眼看南方。yǎn kàn nán fang Your eyes are looking to the south
