Keeping arm straight raise L arm up body centre line while rotating the waist clockwise. Finish palm facing SW.

+ R arm moves a little away from body to R.

Rotate waist back anticlockwise, when facing S move L leg forward to Xu bu toes up.

Continue turning waist ending at NE

Keeping arms straight R arm raises on body CL above head

+ L arm lowers to L side of body, palm facing down fingers pointing slightly clockwise.

Turn waist back clockwise, as body passes S. turn L foot on heel with body to point W, as body passes W transfer weight onto L and move R leg forward to Xu bu. Continue turning body clockwise to NE.

Turn body back to face W while lowering R arm slightly to shoulder level (on body CL) and raising L arm at elbow so that hand is in front of L shoulder palm facing forward. (Fig 2-6)
