左脚向前一步成弓步。zuǒ jiǎo xiàng qián yī bù chéng gōng bù  Your left foot takes a step forward to make a bow stance,

兩手均成立掌,liǎng shǒu jūn chéng lì zhǎng  while your hands become upright palms

向前伸出。xiàng qián shēn chū  and extend forward,

右手指尖貼於左腕部。yòu shǒu zhǐ jiān tiē yú zuǒ wàn bù  your right fingertips nearing your left wrist.

眼看正東。yǎn kàn zhèng dōng  Your eyes are looking directly to the east.

二二 進步搬攔捶(二)
22. ADVANCE, PARRY, BLOCK, PUNCH (part 2)

腰向後倚,yāo xiàng hòu yǐ  Your waist shifts back,

全身坐在右腿。quán shēn zuò zài yòu tuǐ  the weight shifting fully onto your right leg,

左腿成虚步。zuǒ tuǐ chéng xū bù  your left leg making an empty stance,

右掌改拳(參看拳圖)yòu zhǎng gǎi quán (cān kàn quán tú) and your right palm becomes a fist (as explained above) {consult the fist picture}

後縮至胯旁,hòu suō zhì kuà páng  while withdrawing to beside your hip,

左手與視線均不動。zuǒ shǒu yǔ shì xiàn jūn bù dòng your left hand staying where it is in your line of sight. {LH and gaze not changing}

二三 進步搬攔捶(三)
23. ADVANCE, PARRY, BLOCK, PUNCH (part 3)

左腿變成弓步。zuǒ tuǐ biàn chéng gōng bù Your left leg changes to a bow stance

右拳提起,yòu quán tí qǐ  your right fist lifts

向前挺出。xiàng qián tǐng chū  and sticks out forward,

左掌略向後縮,zuǒ zhǎng luè xiàng hòu suō  your left palm slightly withdrawing

貼近於右前臂的肘彎部。tiē jìn yú yòu qián bèi de zhǒu wān bù  to be near the area just forward of your right elbow. {close to the right forearm, elbow bent}

視線不動。shì xiàn bù dòng  The direction you are looking has not changed.
